Chno Dearg from the nose of Sron na Garbh-bheinne. The weather had given us some good views so far, but that was about to change. There are ridges NE, branching to Meall Chaorach (815m) and Meall Dhearcaig, and another broader ridge runs NNW towards Fersit, all have easy slopes and are potentially boggy. These three Munro peaks are very different, Beinn na Lap is a long whale-back, Stob Coire Sgriodain is rugged with some crags and steep drops to Loch Treig, whereas Chno Dearg is domed in appearance. As usual, a wet and boggy walk in\out but the hills themselves were fine and dry with stunning views, particularly off Sgriodain. The views were non existent until I had descended from Chno Dearg to the broad bealach that separates it from the much more interesting ridge towards Stob Coire Sgriodain.
